A contemporary-art stop with room to linger.
Jumex makes contemporary art feel like a proper afternoon, rather than a stop to photograph and leave. The exhibitions change, the building gives the work room to breathe, and the bookstore and café offer reasons to stay in Granada a little longer.
Free ordinary admission and no required reservation make it an easy plan to share or enjoy alone. The useful decision is which exhibition you want to see: this is a changing programme, not a permanent collection of familiar highlights.
Contemporary art, a solo afternoon, or a museum visit without a ticket price.
A compact visit, at your own pace
Visitors describe both the pleasure of the exhibitions and how quickly a visit can pass. One October guest arrived for a work that was unavailable. Give the current exhibition, rather than the museum’s reputation alone, the deciding vote when making a special trip.
The afternoon around the art
Free lockers on level −1 leave your hands free for the galleries. The museum publishes step-free access to entrances and public areas, with a limited wheelchair-loan service at reception. Eno and the bookstore make a natural second stop; café hours are separate from gallery hours.
