See the city through the objects people keep.

MODO finds museum material in everyday life: objects, design and visual culture carry the story. Its Colima house is a different kind of Roma Norte stop from a conventional fine-art collection.

The appeal depends on the exhibition and the memories or curiosities it awakens. Pair a show that interests you with coffee or a bookstore nearby, and let the museum anchor an afternoon rather than fill a whole day.

Design, nostalgia and a focused museum stop.

Small rooms, many points of recognition

October visitors agree that the museum is compact, but describe very different visit lengths. One spent about an hour among the objects; another was finished much faster. Choose the current subject, and leave yourself time for the details that catch your attention.

A ticket that fits the visit

There are published reduced rates for qualifying visitors, including students, teachers, INAPAM holders and Roma residents. Bring the relevant ID. Access needs are worth discussing with the museum before a visit to the house.

Before you go

  • Check the exhibition title and dates before buying a ticket.
  • Ask about access if stairs or limited mobility could affect your visit.
  • Make the museum the anchor of the plan, then choose a nearby café afterward.

Access. The museum says it has no lift for wheelchair access in its 1906 building.
